Even though they are not Muslims and do not practise Islam, the holy month has a special place in their hearts. Much to the surprise of those around, these Dubai expats have been fasting for the past couple of years.
They follow the Ramadan fast in its entirety - abstaining from food and water from dawn to dusk. And practising Ramadan doesn't stop at only fasting as they also indulge in philanthropic activities during the month and beyond.
