The headquarters of the Arab League's General Secretariat hosted today the first meeting of the joint committee of experts and representatives of the ministries of justice and interior of the Arab countries to study the draft Arab guiding law to protect and support victims of terrorism.
The State of Qatar is participating in the meeting with a delegation headed by Brigadier Nasser Al Mal, a member of the national committee for combating terrorism, along with Lt Col Saad Salem Al Dosari, Assistant Director of Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Interior.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Brigadier Nasser Al Mal said that this is the first meeting of the committee of experts from the Arab ministries of the interior or justice, noting that it discussed over two days draft guiding law to protect and support victims of terrorism.
While hoping for successful efforts, he pointed out that all the Arab countries have submitted their comments, both on the drafting or the arrangement of articles or the draft law.
He pointed out that the recommendations of the meeting of the Committee will be submitted to the joint meeting of Arab ministers of interior and justice in their next meeting.
On his part, Lt Col Saad Al Dosari while stressing the importance of this meeting pointed out that it is intended to discuss the comments of the Arab countries on the draft law, adding that terrorism is a major challenge facing the world.
