On QRC achievements during last year Dr. Al Mahanadi summed them as follows: Economic empowerment programmers and social projects such as Zakat Al Fitr, food vouchers and Iftar benefiting more the 30,000 people. More than 39,000 fasting people throughout the month benefited from the Iftar projects in Ramadan tents. During the past year, QRC provided therapeutic services through covering the expenses of treatment for around 96 cases. The School Bag project benefited more the 1,500 students. Eid Clothing project benefited nearly 300 children. 150 students benefited from social projects such as ” This is my wish” project and the summit project for honouring distinguished students. On the external level: More than 53,000 people benefited from Iftar projects, food parcels and Zakat-ul-Fitr in 16 countries. QRC had a tangible record in project directed to the health of children where more than 105,000 children benefited from medical and educational services in several countries. QRC digged 100 shallow wells for the benefit of 25,000 people in Nepal. In the area of shelter provision, QRC has built 60 apartment complexes (480 housing units) for 480 families or nearly 3,000 people in Myanmar. This year and through our campaign in the holy month and the efforts of philanthropists QRC is looking forward to benefit more people through: Implementing programmes and projects in order to spread social and medical services to more than 84730 thousand families and children in Qatar during and after Ramadan. Conducting health related lectures and offering medical services and free screening to people after “Tarawih” prayers in 15 mosques. We aim at benefiting more than four million people in Asia and Africa through our medical, relief and developmental projects. Concluding, Al Muhannadi said ” With the approach of the holy month, we must remember the most people need support and assistance in this blessed month. Our brothers and sisters in Syria are living in conditions that can’t be described fairly! For this reason, QRC allocated resources to benefit Syrian refugees and displaced Syrians.
