Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, met here today with Egypt\'s First Deputy Premier, Gen. Abdulfattah Al-Sisi, who is also Commander-in-chief of the armed forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production. During the meeting, the latest developments at the domestic and regional developments and their repercussions on the security and stability of the region were discussed. Prince Saud Al-Faisal conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to General Al-Sisi and his appreciation of the efforts being exerted by the authorities to restore Egypt\'s pioneering status in its capacity as the Arab region\'s strategic leverage and depth. Prince Saud Al-Faisal confirmed that the Saudi Egyptian relations were based on firm ties of fraternal feelings and coordination and cooperation as well as the Arab joint action in all fields. For his part, al-Sisi expressed gratitude for the supportive Saudi diplomatic efforts over the recent period and his appreciation of the positions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques towards the Egyptian people and his constant keenness to provide support for Egypt, politically and economically to overcome the current extraordinary situations, confirming the strong ties binding the two countries who share a great deal of deep-rooted history, Arab and regional pioneering leadership. The meeting was attended by the Saudi ambassador to Egypt Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Gattan, who is also Saudi Arabia\'s permanent representative to the Arab League, Dr. Khalid Al-Jandan, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for bilateral relations, and Osamah Noqali, Head of the Information Department at the Foreign Ministry. On the Egyptian side, the meeting was attended by General Sidqi Subhi, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces and a number of commanders and senior officers of the armed forces.
