President of the Supreme Political Council Saleh al-Sammad chaired on Monday a meeting gathering General Secretary of Local Council in the Capital Sana'a Amin Jumaan, minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Ben Hafedh, Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Nabil al-Wazir, Finance Minister Saleh Sha'aban, acting president of the Central System of the Political Security Maj. Gen. AbdulQader al-Shami, and deputy of the National Security Col. Mutlaq al-Marrani.
The meeting was devoted to discuss the epidemiological situation of cholera and its consequences on the lives and health of citizens in Yemen's provinces and the measures that should be taken as well as the study that should be developed and evaluated for the implementation of health care in provinces; moreover siege and combating the epidemic on the other hand.
The meeting reviewed the preliminary results of spreading the epidemic on the country and the measures that should be taken by the concerned bodies to identify the primary sources and to ascertain the aspects related to the potential of its spread by an active elements or as a result of a biological war by the US-Saudi aggression after failing to target the steadfastness of the Yemeni people and break its will.
The President called on the National Salvation Government to stay in permanent sessions actively with full capacity in the operating rooms.
The President called on the ministry of health to monitor and control the geographical spread of the epidemic and work on the rapid production of intravenous solutions locally and respond quickly to the efforts of international organizations, taking into account the examination of samples of any aid arrived into the country.
The meeting also stressed the unity of efforts and capacities to provide the required financial support locally for treatment, control, awareness.
