His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa made a field tour in a number of regions across the kingdom to inspect the consequences of rain.
HRH Premier ordered technical and administrative crews, led by senior officials in the relevant ministries, to be present at the sites that have been damaged by rainwater and oversee efforts to drain rainwater flooding as soon as possible.
During the inspection tour, the Prime Minister gave directives to step up preparations and readiness to ensure the safety of the citizens and residents, and put in place all necessary requirements and equipment.
HRH Premier also issued instructions to the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, the Electricity and Water Affairs Authority (EWA) and the Ministry of Housing to coordinate with the relevant authorities to prepare immediate plans to address any obstacles that may affect the traffic flow or the property of the citizens and their houses.
The Premier’s orders aim to reduce the effects of heavy rain witnessed by the kingdom recently.
