The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has lauded efforts exerted by Egypt and some Arab states to reach reconciliation between the Palestinian rival factions.
In a statement by the PLO’s executive committee, the organization stressed commitment to a national dialogue as the only way to overcome challenges and attain the unity among the disputing rivals.
The statement was issued during a meeting chaired by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The meeting took up the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.
Also, the PLO also thanked Paris over hosting an international conference for peace in a bid to revive the peace process.
The committee hailed the Palestinian people’s uprising in face of the Israeli occupation aggression and war crimes.
