Patriarch of Antioch and All the East Ignatius IV Hazim said \"we are not willing to any division between Syria and Lebanon, adding \"we don’t believe that Lebanon be alone or Syria to be alone.\" \"We hope the crisis in Syria is coming to an end… President Bashar al-Assad is working day and night to end the crisis,\" Patriarch Hazim said during a meeting with the Syrian Ambassador Ali Abdul-Kareem on Thursday. Abdul-Kareem, for his part, said that he discussed with the Patriarch issues that concern the Arab nation, expressing happiness over the optimistic vision of Mr. Hazim. On Syrian military vehicles\' penetration of the Lebanese lands, the Syrian Ambassador underlined that both countries respect sovereignty of each other, adding \"no need for exaggerating events by some sides.\" Meanwile, Head of Jabal Amel Scholars\' Body in Lebanon, Sheikh Afif al-Nabulsi said that Israel, the US, Western and Arab powers are seeking to disengage ties between Syria and the resistance in order to wage new war against the resistance. In an article published today by al-Safir newspaper, Sheikh al-Nabulsi added that the plot which aims at hitting the resistance is being carried out through tactical way where any movement against Syria seems to be as a movement of popular reform demands.
