Kuwait’s ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, has been appointed Minster of Information in his home country. On Monday he was given a grand farewell in Riyadh, attended by many dignitaries, ahead of his departure from Saudi Arabia. Al-Sabah has been in the Kingdom as his country\'s ambassador since February 2007. Ziyab Al-Rashedy, deputy chief of the mission, will now officiate as the charge d\'affaires at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Riyadh. “When I came here, the people of Saudi Arabia did not treat me as an ambassador. They treated me as one of their brothers and sons in the family,” the envoy said, pointing out that he felt sad to leave this soil. “Kuwait and the Kingdom enjoy excellent bilateral relations since the people of these two nations have a common vision and goals bound by religious and cultural links.”
