Oman Air has denied rumours that a bomb scare diverted one of its flights.
A Kuwaiti local newspaper reported that an Omani aircraft departed the Sultanate en route to Germany but had to request an emergency landing in Kuwait where security forces inspected the aircraft.

“This is false news. It is not true. If there was any sort of danger on any of our flights our emergency response team would pick it up,” an Oman Air spokesman said.
The Kuwaiti newspaper then revised the report stating that it was a German aircraft that left the Sultanate.
“We don’t have aircraft departing Muscat until 2pm today. It is not one of our aircraft,” said Oman Air.
According to the live flight information from Oman Airport Management Company, it shows that there aren’t any aircrafts scheduled to Germany nor to Europe since 5:05am local time.
The first flight schedule to Europe today from Muscat International Airport is to Frankfurt, Germany at 2 pm local time on Oman Air WY-113
