The National Institution for Human Rights, in a statement marking the UN celebration of the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, praised Bahrain’s interest in caring for the elderly and ensuring a decent life for this category.
The statement welcomed Bahrain’s steps of building clubs and houses for the elderly parents in all governorates, providing them with health, housing and social services, as well as empowering their families in pursuance of achieving the goals of sustainable development 2030.
The NIHR reiterated resolve to continue promoting human rights and the rights of the elderly parents in equal measure, in appreciation of their efforts in the national development march and raising generations.
