The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, NCMS, has urged motorists to be cautious on roads due to low horizontal visibility caused by fog and dust in various coastal and inland areas of the country.
In a statement, the centre said that the weather today will be fair to partly cloudy at times, with a slight rise in temperatures. Winds will be light to moderate in general, becoming fresh over the sea westward by late night.
The relative humidity is likely to increase during the night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf becoming rough by late night westward and slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
The statement added that tomorrow it will be partly cloudy in general. Cloud amounts will increase at times over the western islands and coasts, potentially associated with light rain. Winds will be moderate to fresh, especially over the sea, with a slight drop in temperatures. Relative humidity will increase by night and early morning over some internal areas, and fog or mist may form. Seas will be rough in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate in the Sea of Oman, becoming rough by night.
For Saturday, the weather will be partly cloudy in general. Cloud amounts will increase at times over the western islands and coasts. Moderate to fresh winds in general, especially over the sea, with further slight drop in temperatures. The relative humidity will increase by night and early morning times over some internal areas, and fog/mist may form. Sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate becoming rough at times in the Sea of Oman.
