The 30th edition of the National Arab American Medical Association’s scientific convention opened on Saturday in Amman brining together Jordanian doctors with their Arab-U.S. peers for wide-ranging discussions covering cardiology, pediatrics, endocrinology, oncology, obesity medicine and hematology.
Minister of Health Mahmoud al-Shyab said U.S.-based Jordanian doctors actively contributed to the development and advancement of the medical sector in the Kingdom. He emphasized the importance of the even and said it provides an opportunity to share and explore medical expertise and knowledge.
President of the convention, Ghassan Sa’ed of Wayne State University, said the event aims at building bridges of cooperation between Arab doctors residing in the United States and their peers in Jordan. He pointed out that Arab doctors in North America look forward to cooperating with their peers in their home countries.
Scientific president of the conference, Dr. Saleh Al-Dessouki, University of Michigan, said that the sessions of the conference will cover all fields and medical specialties including surgery, cardiology, pediatrics, oncology, gynecology and other medical fields.
