Moroccan cities are on high security alert for fear of terror attacks during Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Moroccan police said security was tightened in the vicinity of embassies and consulates in addition to areas where foreign missions are located.
A security source told MENA correspondent that security forces were intensively deployed across the country almost a week ago for fear of terror attacks.
Security was intensified near Rabat train station, the parliament HQ, tourist facilities, churches, foreign cultural centers and Jewish synagogues the source said.
Contacts were held with owners of stores of liquefied gas cylinders to take needed security measures, the source added.
