A high-level Ministry of Interior delegation led by Major General Mohammed Ahmed bin Fahad, Director of Dubai Police Academy, has toured the New Scotland Yard’s Crime Academy in UK to get insight into its experience of training police personnel. Crime Academy is considered to be one of the foremost training establishments for detectives, forensic practitioners, crime analysts and those in investigative roles. Bin Fahad said the visit falls within the MoI’s plans to unify police academies across the UAE by learning best practices and applications in world police institutions. The UAE officers visited the field training sites for cadets, senior investigating officers, forensic practitioners, crime scene photographers, and forensic road traffic accident investigators. They also toured the Crime Museum.
