General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has stressed that the UAE under leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, plans to build new national resources, notably, creative and innovative human resources that would lead the development and qualitative transformation from traditional economy to knowledge and innovative economy. He added that the directives by Sheikh Khalifa call for focusing on juniors and activities that inspire creativity and innovation to make them pillars of the country. Sheikh Mohammed was speaking, while touring the Abu Dhabi Science Festival yesterday at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. He was accompanied by a number of Sheikhs, the Speaker of the Federal National Council, ministers, a number of the Executive Council Members and senior officials. As the first festival of its kind in the Middle East, the event features over 150 sessions for youngsters in the areas of sciences, technology and innovation. Abu Dhabi Crown Prince said that hosting of such sessions and festivals reflects the plans of UAE towards building innovative and creative community through quest for knowledge. He toured all the pavilions, workshops and sessions. In parental mode, Sheikh Mohammed shared the students their educational and discovery applications. He urged the guardians to accompany their children to attend the festival.
