A marine officer forged his ex-wife signature and registered her car in his name, the Dubai Criminal Court heard today. Prosecutors said that MS, a 40-year-old Emirati, forged the signature of his 37-year-old ex-wife, AA, also Emirati, on a car ownership transfer application from the Road and Transport Authority. The ex-wife told prosecutors that she had asked her ex-husband to pay her traffic fines so that her confiscated car would be released, but he never got back in touch with her. She later found out that the car has been registered under his name. The man denied a charge of forgery. The case was adjourned until July 1. By The National
