The Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in a decree , approved a new cabinet line-up formed by Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The Amiri, in his decree, approves appointment of Saikh Ahmad Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior, and Shaikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs. Shaikh Jaber named Mustafa Jassem Al-Shimali as Minister of Finance and Minister of Health, Dr. Fadhel Safar Ali Safar as Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, and Dr. Mohammad Mohsen Al-Busairi as Minister of Oil and Minister of and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs. Ahmad Abdulmohsen Al-Mulaifi was named Minister of Justice, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Amani Khaled bouresly as Minister of Commerce and Industry, Minister of State for Planning and Development, while Salem Mutheeb Al-Athaina as Minister of Electricity and Water, and Minister of Communications. Sheikh Jaber also named Mohammad Abbas Rabee\' Al-Nomas as Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, and re-appointed Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah as Minister of Information. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah referred the cabinet line-up to His Highness the Amir, saying in his letter that he realized \"great challenges, issues and problems facing our beloved Kuwait which required swift action to address them.\" Sheikh Jaber said he formed his cabinet because of the \"limited tasks\" the ministers could undergo in the previous care-taker government. The Prime Minister pledged to serve Kuwait\'s higher interests, and pushing the national action for the sake of comprehensive development to achieve prosperity.
