In a statement, the SCIA expressed pride in the directives issued by HM the King while receiving scores of citizens from various governorates, who congratulated him on the holy month of Ramadan.

The council valued highly the royal keenness on meeting Bahraini citizens during the holy month of Ramadan during which the values of fraternity and solidarity prevail, in line with the noble precepts of Islam and authentic Bahraini traditions.

The SCIA, in its statement, also valued highly the royal assertion that Bahrain will remain an oasis of security and stability, and a land of coexistence, tolerance, moderation and openness to the world.

The council affirmed that the royal directives to strengthen the unity, solidarity, tolerance and coexistence, and to preserve the national fundamentals and achievements, respect pluralism and various opinions are basis pre-requisites for more progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, the SCIA lauded the efforts of the government, in cooperation with the SCIA, and the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments, to take care of mosques, community centres and houses of worship, in line with the leadership’s vision in this regard.

The SCIA reiterated its unwavering keenness on carrying on its efforts to take care of mosques, and religious institutes and Hawzahs (seminaries), cementing unity and coexistence, disseminating the authentic Islamic culture nd the values of moderation and true citizenship while rejecting all forms of extremism.

The council called for the need to take advantage of the spiritual atmosphere during the holy month of Ramadan to foster the fraternity and national unity so that Bahrain remains, as it has always been, a well-knit united family.

It prayed to Allah the Almighty to protect Bahrain –King-government and people, and bless it with ever-lasting glory, unity and strengthen.
