Majestic Car Showroom joined the sponsors of the third edition of Khalid bin Hamad Theatres Festival for National Clubs, Youth Centres and People with Disability, becoming the bronze sponsor of the 18 day festival.

Held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, the festival organised on the stage of Muharraq Model Youth Centre in Busaiteen by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid.

HH Shaikh Khalid welcomed the sponsorship of Majestic Car Showroom and asserted that it will be one of the success factors of the festival. He thanked the official of Majestic Car Showroom for continuously sponsoring and supporting youth, sports and cultural activities in the Kingdom, affirming that their supportive stances will be a motivation to pay more efforts to develop the Bahraini art and cultural movement among the youth.

Ibrahim Al-Sinan, General Manager of Majestic Car Showroom, hailed HH and his noble and supportive initiatives towards the youth and people with disabilities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Al-Sinan expressed that Majestic Car Showroom is proud to be one of the sponsors of Khalid bin Hamad Theatres Festival for National Clubs, Youth Centres and People with Disability and to cooperate with the initiatives and programmes of HH Shaikh Khalid and HH’s efforts to develop the skills and talents of the Bahraini youth.

He affirmed that the sponsorship comes within the responsibilities of the establishment towards the community and represents the fruitful cooperation between the public and private sector in organising social, sports and cultural activities that attract the youth of Bahrain and meet their aspirations.

The festival was launched on October 4 by Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder, the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, on behalf of HH Shaikh Khalid and the shows will continue to October 21.
The festival is annually held as part of Khalid initiatives to support the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain and engage them with different events and activities.

This year’s edition is themed #Let’s_Plant_A_Smile and aims at empowering the youth in the fields of arts, cultural and humanitarian works.

Since it was inaugurated, the festival continues to receive notable personalities and figures from Bahrain and GCC countries in the fields of arts and culture.

Saudi Critic and Actor Yusuf Al-Khamees and Bahraini Actor Ahmed Isa visited the festival on Friday and attended the “Choice Master” play, which is the ninth show in the festival.

The play was presented by Buhar Youth Centre and directed by Mohammed Ali. A seminar was held after the show concluded to discuss the performance of the team. Al-Khamees and Isa made some valuable remarks and advised the acting crew, scriptwriter and director to follow and avoid certain steps in their future work.

Al-Khamees and Isa valued the efforts of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and HH’s supportive initiate towards the youth and the Bahraini community.

The organising committee announced earlier that three shows are held on the side-lines of the festival and the participating teams will not compete for the prizes of the festival along with the 12 main teams.

The shows begin on Sunday and will continue on Monday and Tuesday. The first show will be presented by East Riffa Youth Centre and is titled “6 Lights”. It is directed by Yaqub Al-Murbati and will feature a number of new Bahraini faces and actors. Al-Naeem Youth Centre and Al-Wusta Youth Centre will perform the second and third secondary shows.
