The 32nd Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts kicked off on Thursday at the ancient Roman city, 48km to the north of Amman.
Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Prime Minister Hani Mulki opened the several-day extravaganza.
Several leading Jordanian and Arab artists are participating in the festival, including celebrity singers like Wael Kfouri, Nancy Ajram, Hani Shaker, Walid Tawfiq, Ragheb Alamah, Faris Karam, Nawal Al Zughbi, in addition to Jordanian singers including Diana Karazon and others.
Several other activities will be held at the Royal Cultural Center in Amman.
