The Lebanese military said an Israeli drone entered its airspace Wednesday, the latest in more than a dozen other incidents reported this week. Lebanon\'s official National News Agency, operated by the Lebanese Interior Ministry, said an Israeli surveillance drone entered the country\'s airspace from the southern border region. \"All in all, enemy violation of Lebanese airspace and U.N. Resolution 1701, lasted more than 15 hours,\" it said. U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701 brought an end to a 2006 war between Hezbollah and Israel. It calls on Hezbollah to disarm and reminds Israel of its obligation to respect Lebanon\'s sovereignty. Lebanese officials early this year said an Israeli airstrike on Syrian targets emanated from Lebanese airspace. The Security Council said stability from a cease-fire enacted in the 1970s in the Golan Heights in southern Lebanon might deteriorate because of the Syrian civil war. The official news agency said Lebanese military observers reported eight Israeli warplanes over its airspace Wdnesday and another eight over the same area the previous day.
