The Information Affairs Authority’s - (IAA\'s) - President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and the Supreme Council of Women’s - (SCW’s) - Secretary-General Hala Al-Ansari signed a cooperation agreement between the Authority and the Council to support and realize the Councils commitments into substantial reality and showcase the bright image of Bahrain women and their historic achievements. Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa hailed the support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa Spouse of His Majesty the King and president of the Supreme Council of Women in consolidating Bahraini women in comprehensive development programs and her persistent aimed at the satisfaction of women’s needs and to address their issues and ease out all obstacles which may encounter women in various fields. IAA’s President praised Her Royal Highness’s umlimited support for women’s participation in political life so as to assume leading decision-making positions. He emphasized IAA’s keenness to devote all its potentials to serve the local community and cooperate with all ministries, authorities, institutions and official bodies in the Kingdom of Bahrain in general and the Supreme Council of Women in particular.On the other hand, the Supreme Council of Women’s Secretary-General Hala Al-Ansari emphasized the significance of the media\'s role in supporting women empowerment programs and pointed out that the agreement aims to realize SCW’s aspirations into virtual reality and to showcase the noble image of Bahraini women in implementation of the national consensus dialogue’s views regarding improving women’s image in the local media in the light of the achievements made by the institutions concerned with women’s welfare. She stressed that the agreement shall constitute a frame aspired by the SCW to support presswomen’s presence in this vital field through training and qualifications programs or assuming leading positions in the media and in decision-making positions and pointed out that memoranda of understanding signed between SCW and the ministries and official institutions contribute into this direction and aims at realization of this ambition. Al-Ansari hailed existing cooperation between the IAA and the SCW in depicting the bright image of Bahraini women in the media and wished that this cooperation will continue to achieve SCW’s aspirations and provide equal opportunities and boost Bahraini women’s role in the media as well as cooperation between the Authority and the Council through implementation of media programs which contribute into the implementation of Bahraini women’s strategy and strategic media plans citing the Information Affairs Authority’s capabilities and expert cadres in the various fields.
