The Holy Kaaba, the holiest site for Muslims across the world, has joined Twitter.
The Twitter account, which goes by the name of @HolyKaaba, shared its first tweet 19 hours ago, and has a blue verified tick mark. The account was created in March 2017.
It has put out only five tweets so far, mostly quoting verses from the Holy Quran, and has around 6,000 followers.
The timing of the launch of the Twitter account coincides with the Haj pilgrimage season in Saudi Arabia.
