On the eve of the 42nd National Day, official holidays have been declared on 27th and 28th November, 2012 for employees of Ministry and 28th and 29th November, 2012 for employees of the private sector. This decision is taken by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court and Chairman of the Civil Service Council as well as Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Bakri, Minister of Manpower. The Minister\'s Manpower allows employers and employees to continue work, if necessity arises, and compensate the holiday later. In particular, the decision states that compensatory holiday would be granted or those employees, whose weekly day off coincides with the holiday. Times Of Oman
