HM King Mohammed VI will address the nation on Saturday on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People, the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery Ministry said in a statement on Friday. The Royal speech will be aired on national TV and the Radio on Saturday at 20:00 local time instead of 21:00, as the latter time coincides with the prayers of Al Isha’ (evening prayer) and Tarawhi (extra congregational prayers performed at night during Ramadan), the statement said. The Sovereign will also preside, on Sunday at the Royal Palace in Marrakech, over an Iftar dinner, which breaks the daily dawn-to-dusk fast observed during Ramadan, on the occasion of His Majesty’s 48th birthday, the same source added.
