His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa left the city of Jeddah today following a visit during which he met the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
HM the King held talks with King Salman on the solid fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relation, as well as on the latest regional and global developments.
HM King Hamad was seen off at the King Abdulaziz International Airport by the Jeddah Governor, HRH Prince Mishaal bin Moajid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment, Majed Al-Qasabi, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Shaikh Hmood bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Consul-General in Jeddah, and Jeddah Governorate’s Secretary-General, Dr. Hani Abu Ras.
HM the King sent a cable of thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques while he was departing Saudi Arabia.
HM King Hamad expressed deepest thanks to King Salman, as well as to the Saudi government and people for the welcome and hospitality accorded to him throughout his stay there, which, he said, embodies the long-standing, distinguished and specific relations between the two countries.
HM the King lauded the wisdom and experience of King Salman in dealing with regional and international issues in a way that serves the interests of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Arab and Islamic countries.
HM King Hamad also praised the Saudi Monarch’s constant initiatives to strengthen the pillars of stability and ensure the requirements of development for various countries and peoples.
HM the King asserted that King Salman’s wise and sound visions would strengthen the unity of the GCC, develop joint GCC march and consolidate GCC countries’ fraternal relations and common ties.
This is to ensure that the GCC remains, as it has always been, a source of strength and protection for GCC countries, and the perfect means through which member states could overcome threats and dangers, and fulfill the aspirations of GCC peoples in all fields.
HM King Hamad prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless King Salman with abundant health and happiness, and Saudi Arabia and its people with further progress and prosperity.
