His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received a cable of congratulations from Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi marking the success of the ceremony to award the 6th UNESCO-King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education. Researchers, Information and Communication Technologies specialists, representatives of UNESCO member states and journalists attended the ceremony. Dr. Al-Nuaimi paid tribute to HM the King in recognition of his pivotal role and support for the efforts aimed at promoting e-learning. UNESCO director-general Irina Bokova hailed HM King Hamad’s initiative establishing this international award to reward individuals, enterprises and NGOs for their distinguished projects and outstanding practices.
