Cairo Criminal Court decided in Sunday's session to sentence the Salafist lawyer and preacher Hazem Salah Abu Ismail and five others to prison for five years in the case of besieging Nasr City court in December 2012.
Eleven others were sentenced to prison for 10 years in absentia.
The defendants are accused of threatening the members of the general prosecution, preventing them from carrying out their duties, forcing them to issue a decision to release Ahmed Arfa, damaging public property and shouting out slogans against the prosecution.
Five defendants among the fugitives are now members of terrorist groups in Syria including Daesh, investigations said.
