On Mother's Day, former Prime Minister Saad Hariri congratulated today all mothers in Lebanon and the Arab world. He said, on Twitter: "Lebanon's mothers are the pillars of moral and national education, which protects our country from all kinds of conspiracies and all forms of discord." He added: "I reiterate my commitment to provide them with full protection, through the passing of a law against domestic violence as soon as possible, and guarantying their full rights including the right to grant nationality to their children. Also, on this occasion, I particularly congratulate the steadfast Syrian mothers who are sacrificing everything to achieve the freedom of the Syrian people, and their right to live in dignity and democracy. I also salute the Palestinian mothers awaiting their sons and daughters who are detained in the Israeli prisons, while striving for the right of the Palestinian people to an independent State with Jerusalem as its capital".
