Colonel Mohammed Al Ansari, Director-General of Civil Defence, apprised H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, of the safety measures and response plan to fires, in alignment with Abu Dhabi Plan 2030, in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Hamdan hailed the efforts made by the civil defence personnel to ensure the safety and security of the public, and their properties. He instructed the civil defence men to ensure that safety and prevention measures are in place at economic establishments and residential complexes, so that there is no loss of life and property during a fire.
Colonel Al Ansari spoke about the plan to establish new civil defence centres and measures to improve the safety and security arrangements.
In another meeting at his palace in Liwa, Sheikh Hamdan received students of the military school in the Western Region and spoke to them about their careers. He also urged them to study hard, be honest and loyal citizens, and serve their homeland.
