The payment of fees for the 2017 pilgrimage will be carried out through an electronic platform.
A new procedure will be established for the payment of Hajj fees. Moroccans who wish to make the pilgrimage to Mecca will have to sign into an electronic platform in accordance with the requirements of the Saudi authorities.
The announcement was made public during the Hajj forum, organized by the National Federation of Travel Agencies in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Habous.
While travel agencies in Saudi Arabia will oversee payment, the new procedure will also require pilgrims to go through the Ministry of Habous.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs called on tour operators to start the procedure early to avoid any complications that could deprive pilgrims from accomplishing Hajj rituals.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance plans to publish a unified guide and CD to facilitate the understanding and fulfillment of the various rituals of the fifth pillar of Islam.
