The Global Coalition to Defeat the Daesh Terror Group will hold a meeting next week to discuss means of accelerating efforts to defeat the terrorist organization, the US Department of state said in a statement late Wednesday.
It noted that the meeting will be held in Washington, on Tuesday July 11 with the presence of the coalition’s senior leaders.
The Coalition’s Working Groups on Counter Finance, Foreign Terrorist Fighters, Stabilization Support, and Communications will meet individually to assess the campaign and discuss ways to intensify pressure on Daesh in each of these critical areas, the statement added.
The statement highlighted that the full 72-member of the coalition will meet for in-depth discussions on how to accelerate Coalition efforts to defeat Daesh in the remaining areas it holds in Iraq and Syria, and maximize pressure globally on its branches, affiliates, and networks.
The conference will also discuss priorities to build on the progress in Mosul and Raqqa to set Daesh on an irreversible and lasting path to defeat, the statement further added.
