The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States (GCC) HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani has extended congratulations to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the esteemed government, and the people of Qatar, on the occasion of the National Day, wishing them further development, progress and prosperity.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the GCC Chief said this glorious occasion revives the memory of years of giving, dedication and hard work to achieve a comprehensive developmental renaissance in all fields, during which the State of Qatar has managed to make a distinctive civilized achievements that keep pace with the global progress and development, as a pride for the generous people of Qatar and all GCC citizens who have feelings of love and appreciation, for the Qatari people in affirmation of kinship ties and a common history and destiny.
The Secretary-General also praised the achievements of modernity and progress by the State of Qatar in all fields, including edifices of culture and civilization which were founded with confidence and competence under the attention, care and patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, who is leading the march of progress and overall development in the State of Qatar towards the global forefront, to occupy this important position among advanced and civilized countries.
Dr. Al Zayani expressed appreciation and gratitude for the tireless efforts made by the State of Qatar for the promotion and development of the GCC joint action towards its lofty goals, out of the belief of the wise leadership of the importance of the GCC system in order to promote gains of the GCC countries, protect their security and stability, and to realize the aspirations of its citizens for further progress, development and prosperity
