For the last two days, Jordan has been experiencing blizzards and snowfall in most of its cities, forcing the closure of roads and disrupting shops, businesses and major institutions. Meanwhile, a strong sand storm has hit the southern provinces. The Minister of Education has ordered the suspension of all the Kingdom’s schools on Thursday to ensure the safety of students and teachers. Daily newspapers were unable to distribute their editions Thursday. due to the closure of main roads, while the Jordanian newspaper Al-Arab Al-Youm (The Arabs Today) decided not to print their Friday edition. Activists have also to postpone their regular Friday marches.
