The Paris Peace and Development Forum has called on the international community to institute an international day for combating terrorism and extremism, to commemorate victims of this scourge, targeting safety and security of the innocent people across the world.
The three-day forum, hosted in Paris, stressed the need of the international community to closely monitor the states sponsoring terrorism, referring to Qatar as a sponsor and financier of terrorism.
It also emphasised the need to incriminate terrorist and extremist fatwas (edicts), issued by institutions and individuals like Yousif Al Qaradawi.
The forum's participants staged three stands, in solidarity with the families of victims of terrorist acts, which were attended by activists from the UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Libya, Mauritania, Egypt and Somalia.
