H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, has stated that raising the country’s flag is a historic moment when the leadership and people of the country can stand as one under their proud flag, and their hearts can beat with love for their country, and their eyes can stare at their flag flying high and proud while wishing for the flag to always be raised high.
Sheikh Hamdan added that Flag Day coincides with the anniversary of the day when President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan took office, which fills everyone with pride and honour for the UAE’s leading international stature among the world’s countries.
"When the UAE flag is raised above the peaks, it strengthens the advancement of our nations, which has enabled it to lead internationally in all areas, in light of the directives of the wise leadership for all members of the community to contribute to achieving our ongoing accomplishments, through local and federal participation. Our leadership also equally cares for citizen and residents and will continue efforts to achieve a dignified and perfect living for everyone," he further added.
Sheikh Hamdan affirmed that Flag Day is an occasion to renew everyone’s loyalty to the wise leadership and the nation’s progress, as well as their determination and efforts to work for the country to remain a beacon that radiates light, warmth, advancement and civilisation that knows no limits.
Sheikh Hamdan offered his congratulations, on the occasion, to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Rulers of the UAE, and the nation’s people.
