The significant contributions made by the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, QCC, to ensuring consumer protection and boosting competitiveness in the market have been recognised by Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
This came in a visit by representatives of the Executive Council’s Economic Development Committee to the QCC’s Central Lab where they were briefed on the measures taken by QCC to advance economic growth in line with Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.
The committee members were informed of the services rendered by the lab, primarily, inspection and conformity services, including issuance of technical compliance and consultation certificates and scientific research in addition to specailised training to cater to the needs of the private and public sectors in Abu Dhabi.
The lab adopts latest international practices with the objective of enhancing production efficiency, maintaining public safety levels and spurring competitiveness in alignment with local, regional and international standards and criteria.
In the presence of QCC Secretary General Helal Humaid Al Kaabi, the committee members were briefed on the techniques followed by the council officers in inspecting food beverages, medical equipment, building material, electric appliances, cosmetics and healthcare products in keeping with the latest state-of-the-art technologies reached in the field.
