The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, on Wednesday sent a convoy of food aid for distribution to the displaced people in the Yemeni city of Al Mocha.
This is part of the humanitarian initiative undertaken by the ERC on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. It coincides with the "Zayed Legacy to Support the Yemeni People" campaign, which was launched on 20th August and mainly targets assistance to the families of martyrs and the wounded in Yemen.
According to the ERC volunteers, the displaced people were forced to leave the militia-controlled areas in Al Barh and Muwza and seek safety in the regions liberated by the Yemeni national army, with support from the Arab Coalition forces.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the UAE and the ERC for their humanitarian efforts.
