The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has distributed food supplies to underprivileged people and those with disabilities in Ataq town in Shabwah governorate within the framework of its humanitarian campaign to support Yemeni people.
During the inauguration process, Abdullah Al Musafri, Head of the ERC team stressed that the distribution of rescue aid is aimed at fulfilling the needs of the people and enhancing living conditions especially in service and humanitarian sectors. It also seeks to meet the food needs of people especially after events that are held in the late hours in the governorate.
He said that the ERC will continue providing food and humanitarian aid in the coming period to contribute to achieving development in the liberated areas including the Shabwah governorate.
He also stressed the desire of the ERC to continue its humanitarian projects aimed at supporting all needy people in the different districts of the governorate, according to the distribution phases and plans of the ERC team in Shabwah.
The governorate officials appreciated the honest stance of the UAE towards the people of Shabwah and highlighted its important role in strengthening ties between both countries.
