The UAE Embassy in Dakar has supervised the distribution of around 25 tonnes of Eid sacrificial meat in five African countries: Senegal, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Cape Verde and Cote d’Ivoire.
Mohammed Salem Al-Rashidi, UAE Ambassador to Senegal, followed up the process of distribution which falls within the sacrificial meat distribution project funded by the Emirates Red Crescent, the Dubai Charity Association and the Sharjah Charity International.
The meat was distributed to charity associations, orphanages, schools and municipalities to be given to the underprivileged in the five countries.
The initiative was highly appreciated by the officials and the beneficiaries in these countries. They expressed their gratitude to the UAE leadership and people for this generous project coinciding with a blessed occasion.
