Egypt and Sudan will hold in the coming period meetings at the level of senior officials and ministers to prepare for the joint committee meeting under
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Sudanese counterpart Omar Bashir, the Egyptian envoy in Khartoum said.
The joint committee meeting will be held soon in Cairo, Osama Shaltout said in statements to MENA on Friday, noting that this is the first time for the joint committee to convene at the presidential level.
Shaltout praised the unique relations between Egypt and Sudan.
Shaltout said Sisi was keen to visit Sudan at the start of his presidential term in 2014.
He noted that there are 30 joined ministerial committees and eight sectoral panels between the two countries to handle any problem that may arise.
He added that he invited the Sudanese tourism minister to participate in an international tourism event that will be held in Cairo in April.
The event reflects the magnitude of the civilization of the Nile valley, he added.
