Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr left Cairo for Nairobi on Monday for a visit to Kenya , the first leg of a several days six-nation African Tour of the Nile Basin countries, the Foreign Ministry Spokesman Councellor Amr Rushdi said . The spokesman said in a statement to reporters here today that the tour, the first ever by an Egyptian official at that level , is due to take Amr to Tanzaniya , Rwanda , Congo , South Sudan, and then Sudan. It aims at bolstering Egypt\'\'s relations with these six african countries at the political and economic levels and explore how best to further cement these relations and prospects of stepping up the growing commercial relations between Egypt and these countries in all fields. The tour also aims at boosting Egypt\'\'s growing investments through overcoming some obstacles which are still hindering the flow of trade and investment movement between them as well as achieving a sort of consensus on pending issues in the framework cooperation accord of the nile basin countries, the spokesman added.
