The Egyptian Army announced Tuesday apprehension of four terrorists on charges of attacking military and police personnel and sites in the cities of Al-Areesh and Ismailia in the lawless Sinai Peninsula. In a press statement, the Army Spokesman Colonel Ahmad Ali said the army and police will continue the broad crackdown campaign against anyone involved in attacks on military or police. Tuesday evening, two military officers were killed and three others injured in Delta Governorate of Sharqiya after their vehicle came under fire from unidentified assailants. The Military cordoned off the scene of the attack and is currently hunting the assailants
