Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo enthralled his Dubai fans at the 6th Dubai International Sports Conference on Wednesday. Nobody could have imagined the scenes that unfolded at Festival City Intercontinental where a slew of fans were waiting to catch a glimpse of their favourite star.Ronaldo was the one of the distinguished guests at the Dubai International Sports Conference which got under way on Wednesday morning. Juventus and Italy legend Alessandro Del Piero also attended the event.Top officials and celebrities from around the globe descended on Dubai to discuss the current trends of the sport in the UAE and the region as a whole. However, the darling of the crowd was Ronaldo who had enjoyed yet another spectacular year with Real Madrid. Ronaldo’s precocious talent caught the attention since his early childhood. “It’s a challenge which you cannot have it both ways,” said the Portuguese legend who was born in 1985 in Madeira. “Just like elsewhere in life, if you are doing a part, you will never keep it up unless you convince yourself that you can do it, and from this very simple concept I have decided to shape my future.“You have to believe in what you are doing and give it all your attention and focus,” he noted.The left winger, who joined Manchester United when he was 18 for £12.24 million in 2003, said, “Talent is the core of success particularly in football, but the game is demanding. And unless you remain fit, concentrated and capable to delight fans they will not have many excuses for you,” he added.Ronaldo scored his first international goal in the opening game of the tournament against Greece and also helped Portugal reach the final.
