In a predawn surprise raid carried out by Residency inspectors, 39 illegal residents were nabbed in Dubai on Thursday morning. The operation codenamed ‘Before Daybreak’ was planned and executed by the Search and Investigation Department at the Dubai Residency and Foreigners Affairs Directorate. The directorate had set up squads to investigate on places where illegal residents stay, and the informants led the police to a site where they were hiding, said the police. Director General of Dubai Residency Department Major General Mohammed Al Marri praised the efforts of the inspectors and warned all those who break the residency law of the country and threaten its security.
