Dubai Customs officials caught a man trying to smuggle in 1.5kg of heroin in his stomach. A passenger who arrived at Terminal 3 at the Dubai International Airport from an African country appeared to be confused and kept looking around constantly. This raised our suspicions though nothing was found in his luggage, said a customs official. The man was put through a body scan which detected something inside his guts. When asked about it, the passenger confessed that he swallowed 15 tablets, but said he had no idea what those tablets were. He admitted that he came to Dubai to deliver the tablets to an accomplice. The passenger was transferred to the Anti-Narcotics Department office at the airport, said Ali Al Maghawi, Director of Airport Operations at the Dubai Customs. After being checked at the hospital, it appeared that the suspect was carying 95 tablets inside his guts and not 15 as claimed. The contraband was found to be 1.5kg of heroin. From gulfnews.
