Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt have emphasised that the documents revealed by US satellite television news channel Cable News Network (CNN) prove that Qatar has failed to honour pledges it made and signed in 2013 and 2014.
“The four countries assert that the documents published by CNN, including the Riyadh Agreement (2013), its Executive Mechanism and the Riyadh Supplementary Agreement (2014), confirm beyond any doubt Qatar’s failure to meet its commitments and violation of its commitments,” the Quartet said.
“The four countries emphasise that the 13 demands presented to the Qatari government were to fulfill its previous obligations and commitments. The demands were in fact points stated in the Riyadh Agreement, its Executive Mechanism and the Riyadh Supplementary Agreement and were fully in line with the spirit of the agreements.”
