During their visit to Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi, a delegation from Dar Zayed for Family Care, DZFC, that included children, viewed the central facilities of the memorial site.
The delegation, led by Nabil Al Dhahiri, Director-General of DZFC, also visited the martyrs’ monument, which symbolises the unity, integration, solidarity and closeness of the people of the nation.
Al Dhahiri said that the tour to this paramount monument represents their commitment to the noble values established by the great sacrifice of the UAE’s martyrs and the support of the nation’s citizens for the wise leadership.
He added that the UAE’s martyrs would remain a symbol of dignity, pride and honour as they offered their souls for the nation, to raise its stature and preserve its prosperity, and they sacrificed what is most precious to protect their country. The UAE has a history filled with heroism and sacrifice, which has made it a unique example of giving and sacrifice, and an oasis of security and stability, he added.
The group began its visit to Wahat Al Karama by paying their respects at the martyrs’ monument and visiting the honour pavilion. They also listened to an explanation about the plaques carrying the names of the country’s martyrs and the Quranic verses engraved on the pavilion’s murals.
At the end of the visit, Al Dhahiri thanked, on behalf of the DZFC family, the administrative team of Wahat Al Karama for their friendly reception, and for providing a detailed explanation of the content of Wahat Al Karama for the visiting children from DZFC.
