Death sentence demanded for sexual assault

The Dubai public prosecution demanded the criminal court order the execution sentence to an Asian driver SRG for raping a visitor. The victim testified that the suspect had raped her after having a maid detain her in a house which ran a prostitution racket. Meanwhile, the prosecution charged the colluding maid with human trafficking, adding that she took advantage of the victim’s need for employment. She reportedly deluded the victim by promising to provide her with a job and then brought her on a visit visa. The prosecution has confirmed that the maid detained the victim against her wish in a prostitution den. The maid reportedly took her passport and asked her to pay Dhs20,000 in return for her freedom.
